Mahabharata Period Temples in Delhi
There are many temples established in Delhi for every era, mainly these are constructed during the period of 800, 1200,1600, 1800 and 2000 and has been increasing gradually with time. But before the beginning of Kalyug, the temples which are built during or early period of Mahabharata war are considered to be the most famous in Delhi.
Foremost among the oldest and most revered temples in Delhi is the Kalkaji Mandir or the Manokamna Siddha Peetha. The Mahabharata talks of five temples being built by the victorious Pandavas after Kurukshetra and this is supposed to be one.

Yogmaya Temple, Mehrauli. A Shakthi Peetha dedicated to the Devi Yogmaaya, the sister of Krishna, representing the illusionary power of Bhagwan. This temple is also said to have been built by the Pandavas.

Hanuman Temple in CP. This ancient temple also finds mention in the Mahabharata along with the story of how Bhima came upon Hanuman (his brother as both are the sons of Vayu) and accepted his superiority when he found himself unable to move even his tail.

Neeli Chhatri temple said to be built by the Pandavas to worship Bhagwan Shiva, this temple is supposed to be the venue of the Aswamedha Yaga of Yudhisthira. Located near the Yamuna, the temple finds infrequent mention in the chronicles of the city.
