Vaisakhi festival is one of the sacred festivals of Sikhism. Vaisakhifestival is celebrated every year on 13 or 14 April and marks the beginning of the solar year. Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi or Wasakhi. Which are celebrated in other regions of the Indian subcontinent, such as Pohela Boishakh, Bohag Bihu, Vishu, Puthandu and other regions on the first day of Baishakh.

Baisakhi is especially celebrated in the state of Punjab and North India. Baisakhi has a very special meaning for the Sikh community as it symbolizes the establishment of the Khalsa. On this day, the tenth and last Guru - Guru Gobind Singh organized the Sikhs into Khalsa or pure people. By doing so, they eliminated the differences of high and low and established that all humans are the same.

Baisakhi is a harvest festival for Punjab and is a symbol of the Punjabi New Year according to the Punjabi calendar. In the villages of Punjab, a fair is organized on Baisakhi day. This day is also seen as a Thanksgiving Day by the farmers, whereby the farmers pay their tributes, thank God for the abundant harvest and also pray for the future prosperity.
