Hariyali Teej is one of the popular festivals among the married women of north India. Festival celebrated on the day of Shukla Tritiya in Shravan month. It is also known as Sindhara Teej, Chhoti Teej, Shravana Teej, Shravani Teej and Haritalika Teej. The festival of Hariyali Teej is celebrated two days after Hariyali Amavasya.
Hariyali Teej to Shreeji Mandir of Nathdwara, it has been named Thakurani Teej, dedicated to Param Pujya Shri Radharani. The day of Thakurani Teej has special significance in the Rajputana royal families of Rajasthan, it is also called as Choti Teej.
At this time when nature gives greenery cover all around, after seeing this shade of nature, the mind starts to dance and gets dancing. Married women wear new clothes, ornaments, and go to their maternal home. Women enjoy swing with folk songs held in traditional dress and full makeup.
