Hastinapur is the main center of the events of the Mahabharata period. It is also known as the capital of Kauravas. Hastinapur is also known as the birthplace of three Tirthankars of the Jain community.
The main attractions in Hastinapur are Jambudweep Jain Tirth, Digamber Jain Bada Mandir, Kailash Parvat, Pandav Temple, etc. All are the historical places for Hinduism. These temples are known to be from that era and are said that Pandavas used to worship Bhagwan Shiva at this place. It is believed that there used to be the main places near this temple which was destroyed in an earthquake.

On this holy place Karn Ghat Mandir, Suryaputra Karn used to donate daily 50kg gold on the bank of river Ganga. Now a days Gangaji move 5km away from this temple therefore this place called now Budhi Ganga.
