British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will indulge in sightseeing during his time in New Delhi. According to ANI, the Indian-origin PM visited the Akshardham temple in the national capital on Sunday.
I am a proud Hindu and that's how I was brought up, Sunak said. That's just how I am, hopefully I'll be able to visit some temple during my stay here for the next few days.
Sunak is in India for the mega event this weekend. He has come on this tour with his wife, First Lady Akshata Murthy. He was welcomed by Indian Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey by saying "
Jai Siyaram". In a brief conversation, Choubey told Sunak that he represented Buxar, a city known for its religious history. It is said that this is the place where Bhagwan Ram and his brother Lakshman received their education.
