Shri Ram Janmabhoomi 2024 Jhulan Utsav Started (श्री राम जन्मभूमि 2024 झूलन उत्सव प्रारंभ)

The tradition of Jhulan Utsav in the court of Ramlala is different from other temples. Jhulnotsav has started in Ram temple from Friday i.e. Nag Panchami. All four brothers including Ramlala will sit on the silver carousel and give darshan to the devotees for a fortnight. On Thursday evening, the swing was decorated in the Gudhi Mandap in front of the sanctum sanctorum. On Friday morning, Ramlala was made to sit on the swing. Ramlala will give darshan to the devotees from 20 feet away.There are different traditions of Jhulan Utsav in the temples of Ayodhya. Here, in most of the temples, Jhulan Utsav has been started from Sawan Shukla Tritiya, while in some temples, Jhulan Utsav will be started from Panchami Tithi and in some from Ekadashi. The priest of Ram temple told that the festive idol of Ramlala has been installed on the swing. Apart from this, the idols of Bharat, Lakshman, Shatruhan and Hanuman ji have also been placed on the swing. Till Rakshabandhan, devotees including Ramlala brothers will be seen sitting on the swing. This is the first Jhulanotsav after the consecration of Ramlala, hence various religious and cultural programs have been planned.

Ramlala will be seated in a 21 kg silver carousel and will give darshan to the devotees. This swing was constructed in 2021. Earlier, Ramlala used to swing on a wooden swing. Told that a cultural evening will also be held every day from 6 to 7 pm, special food will be offered.
