Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha Utsav: Descendants of Nihangs will organize langar in Ayodhya (राम मंदिर प्राण प्रतिष्ठा उत्सव: निहंगों के वंशज अयोध्या में लंगर का आयोजन करेंगे)

Talking to journalists in Chandigarh, Baba Harjeet Singh Rasoolpur said that he is not only a descendant of Nihang Singh but is also a true devotee of Lord Ram. Now when the consecration program of Ram temple is taking place on January 22, 2024, how can I stay behind. He said that along with other Nihangs, I will run langar in Ayodhya on this day. On this occasion, he said that I am a Nihang Sikh and have equal faith in Sanatan Dharma along with Sikhism.In the month of November 1858, 25 Nihangs under the leadership of Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Khalsa captured the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. He also performed havan in it. Apart from this, Nihangs wrote Ram-Ram on the wall of the mosque and waved the saffron flag. In this regard, an FIR was registered against 25 Nihangs in Awadh police station on 30 November 1858. This FIR was registered on the complaint of the muezzin of the mosque. This historical event gained further importance when on 9 November 2019, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hindus on Ram Temple. This incident was made the basis for this decision.

Baba Harjeet Singh said that those who are trying to create differences between Sikhs and Hindus should look at the page of history that the first FIR regarding Ram Temple was filed not against Hindus but against Sikhs. Baba Harjeet Singh said that I have no connection with any political party and I am only the bearer of Sanatan traditions. While maintaining coordination between Nihangs and Sanatan Dharma, I also faced criticism because on one hand, I am an Amritdhari Sikh, but on the other, I wear Rudraksha mala around my neck. Jathedar Baba Harjit Singh Rasoolpur finally said that whenever the country and religion are in need, he and his family will never back down.
