President Murmu visited Chandi Mandir, a Hindu temple located in the city of Cuttack. The temple is dedicated to Devi Chandi, who is a form of Devi Durga. President Murmu offered prayers to the deity at the temple and sought blessings from the goddess.
On the occasion of President Draupadi Murmu's visit, the Chandi temple here on Wednesday organized the Suna Besa of the presiding deity.
She also interacted with the priests and devotees at the temple. President Murmu's visit to the Chandi temple was seen as a mark of respect to the Hindu faith and its followers. It was also seen as an attempt to reach out to the people of Odisha, where the temple is located.
