The construction work of the Bade Hanuman Temple Corridor on the Sangam bank started from Tuesday. Mahant Balveer Giri of Shri Bade Hanuman Temple performed Bhoomi Pujan amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. The first phase is expected to be completed by December. The cost is estimated to be around Rs 40 crore. The next phase of work will take place after
Mahakumbh.
Currently there are two gates to enter the temple. After the corridor is built, there will be six gates, then entry will be through Akshayavat Marg. When the devotees come out after taking bath at Sangam, they will enter the temple corridor through Akshavat Marg and after having darshan, they will come out from the dam side. Before this he will also be able to have darshan of Akshayavat. 40 shops selling puja material and prasad will be set up on the boundary wall of the corridor.
