On January 20, at around 11 am, the Prime Minister will participate in an event at the S
ri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. When he would visit the Ranganathaswamy temple on Saturday, he would spend time listening to various scholars reciting verses from the Kamba Ramayan. Then, he will go to Rameshwaram where he will join the audience listening to the Ramayana in Sanskrit, Awadhi, Kashmiri, Gurmukhi, Assamese, Bengali, Maithili and Gujarati.
According to the PM's office, his focus will be on Ram's return to Ayodhya. In the evening he will listen to bhajans or devotional songs at
Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple. The next day, Modi will first visit the
Kothandaramaswami temple in Dhanushkodi and then visit Arichal Munai, which is said to be the place where the Ram Setu was built.
