ISKCON has banned monk Amogh Lila Das from public events for one month due to his controversial comments about Swami Vivekananda and
Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
Amogh Leela Das criticized Swami Vivekananda for eating fish and making sarcastic comments on Ramakrishna's teachings "jato mat tato path" (as many views, so many ways). He was severely criticized for his remarks, leading to calls for action against him. Following the uproar, ISKCON barred him from participating in public events for a month, noting that he was sorry for his statements.
He is a well-known ISKCON personality and online celebrity based in New Delhi. According to his Twitter page, he is a youth counselor, corporate advisor and vice president of the
Dwarka ISKCON temple.
