This year i.e. in 2023, the 9th International Yoga Day is being celebrated.Yoga, a part of Indian culture and being practiced since the time of sages, is one of the favorites of people all over the world. Seeing the importance of yoga on the initiative of India, it was also adopted at the international level. In the year 2014, on September 27, at the meeting of the United Nations, PM Narendra Modi proposed to celebrate International Yoga Day. This proposal was accepted and it was announced to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June. Let us tell you that June 21 is the longest day of the Northern Hemisphere, which is also known as summer solstice. According to the Indian tradition, after the summer solstice, the Sun undergoes Dakshinayan, which is beneficial for attaining spiritual attainments. In such a situation, it was decided to celebrate this day as International Yoga Day.

This year's theme 'One World, One Health' has been kept on the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. This theme has been chosen by the Ministry of AYUSH. By doing yoga regularly, a person gets relief from many diseases. Yoga not only keeps a person physically fit, but also mentally fresh.
