Garjiya Devi Temple: Ban on darshan in Garjiya Temple on Kartik Purnima (गर्जिया देवी मंदिर: कार्तिक पूर्णिमा पर गर्जिया मंदिर में दर्शन पर रोक)

Devotees will not be able to have darshan of Mata on Kartik Purnima in Garjiya temple situated in the middle of Kosi river. Darshan and worship will be prohibited in the main temple. In view of the crowd of devotees, Devi Maa's dola will be installed near the Shiv temple. It is here that devotees will be able to do darshan and worship. This decision was taken due to cracks appearing in the mound of the temple.A meeting of officials of Garjiya Devi Mandir Committee was held regarding Kartik Purnima and Ganga snan. There were cracks in the mound of the temple during the rainy season, keeping this in mind, a two-day fair will be organized in the Garjia temple complex on 26th and 27th November in view of Kartik Purnima and Ganga Snan.
