Banke Bihari: Thakurjis aarti performed in the sanctorum on Sharad Purnima (बांकेबिहारी: शरद पूर्णिमा पर गर्भगृह में ही की गई ठाकुरजी की आरती)

Every year on Sharad Purnima, Thakur Banke Bihari is seated on the Jagmohan (platform) of the temple. But service officer Rasik Bihari Goswami filed an application in the court of the Temple Administrator Civil Judge Junior Division demanding that Aaradhya should not be taken out of the sanctum.On this the temple administrator ordered Jagmohan to be crowned. The doors of the temple opened at quarter to eight in the morning. Even before this, the temple management had placed a throne for worshipers in front of the sanctum. But Sevayat did not take him out and performed Shringar Aarti in the sanctum itself.

Due to the huge throne installed outside the sanctum, the devotees could not get darshan. Police and temple management people reached the news of Aaradhya not being enshrined in Jagmohan. Then after covering the curtain, Thakur ji was made to sit in Jagmohan. Temple manager Munish Sharma said that information about the matter will be given to the temple administrator.
