After the construction of grand corridors of
Baba Vishwanath Dham in Kashi,
Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and
Mahakal Dham in Ujjain, provision for corridors will be made in Braj. After the construction of a five-acre corridor in Thakur Banke Bihari temple, it will open the way for progress in Dharmanagari. The number of devotees will increase manifold. The state government has made a provision of Rs 150 crore in the budget for land acquisition for the corridor. In such a situation, it is expected that work on the corridor will start soon.
A proposal to build a corridor on five acres was made after the death of two devotees in a stampede during Mangala Aarti at Thakur Banke Bihari Temple on the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami in the year 2022. At present about 1.5 lakh devotees visit Vrindavan every day. But, during weekends this number crosses three lakhs. But after the construction of the corridor, the number of devotees will increase manifold. This will have a direct impact on the tourism industry.
