Sharda Nagar Balaji Temple in Mahevaganj of Lakhimpur Kheri has its own special significance. Today, on the big Tuesday of Jyeshtha month, thousands of devotees reach the temple. For decades, people have been coming here in large numbers to seek the blessings of their beloved Hanuman ji.It is a religious belief that worshiping Bhagwan Hanuman, a devotee of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram, on the day of Bada Mangal is extremely fruitful for a person. According to religious texts, Bhagwan Shri Ram met Hanuman ji on Tuesday of Jyeshtha month. For this reason, all Tuesdays of Jyeshtha month are celebrated as Bada Mangal.

A large number of devotees were present in the Mangala Aarti at Lakhimpur Kheri Balaji Temple on Bada Mangal. The special thing about Balaji Temple is that the light was brought here from Mehndipur Balaji 40 years ago, which keeps burning continuously. It is believed that by worshiping Balaji temple with true devotion, Hanuman ji destroys ghosts and external powers.
