Ujjain: Baba Mahakal Was Specially Decorated with Bhang and Pitambara in Bhasmarti (उज्जैन: भस्मारती में बाबा महाकाल का भांग और पीतांबर से विशेष शृंगार किया गया)

In the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, the doors of the temple opened early on Wednesday at 4 o'clock at the time of Bhasma Aarti on the Tritiya of Phalgun Shukla Paksha. The priests worshiped the idols of all the gods and goddesses installed in the sanctum. Then Jalabhishek of Bhagwan Mahakal was done with Panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, sugar and fruit juice and after that worship was performed. First of all, Hariom water was offered by ringing the bell. After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was given a silver crown and a garland of Rudraksha and flowers.The special thing about Wednesday's adornment was that in the Bhasma Aarti of Tritiya, Baba Mahakal was adorned with Bhang and special adornment was done with Pitambara. After adornment, the Jyotirlinga of Baba Mahakal was covered with a cloth and ashes were applied. A large number of devotees reached Bhasma Aarti and received blessings after seeing this divine form of Baba Mahakal. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. Due to this the entire temple complex echoed with the echo of Jai Shri Mahakal.
