Arun Yogiraj: Sculptor of Ramlalas idol in Ayodhya (अरुण योगीराज: अयोध्या में रामलला की मूर्ति के मूर्तिकार)

The idol of Ram Lala at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya was unveiled by Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj. Who actually created the idol of Ramlala, this idol made of three billion years old rock named Krishna Shila is enhancing the beauty of the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple.

Arun Yogiraj is a resident of Agrahara, Mysore, Karnataka. The 41-year-old sculptor hails from a family of five generations. His famous grandfather Basavanna Shilpi was patronized by the King of Mysore. After making the idol of Lord Ram on January 22, Arun Yogiraj felt that he was the luckiest person in the world.

The height of the idol of Ramlala is 4.24 feet, which is quite grand in appearance. The weight of the idol is about 200 kg. Many incarnations of Bhagwan Ram have been carved in the statue.
