The first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open in February 2024. The temple being built by the Hindu community in Abu Dhabi will be located in the capital's Mussafah area. This temple will be a place of worship for Hindus from all over the world. It will also be a place for cultural exchange and learning.
Under the supervision of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, a world-renowned organization for building temples, this temple is the first to be built according to the age-old construction method. Using only stone, the final design will be more than 32 meters tall with seven pinnacles, each representing an emirate in the UAE, as well as more than 200 hand-carved decorative pillars.
The temple is expected to attract thousands of visitors every year. It is a symbol of the growing diversity of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
