350 years old tradition in Kashi Baba Vishwanath is made to swing in Sawan (काशी में 350 साल पुरानी परंपरा: सावन में बाबा विश्वनाथ को झुलाया जाता है झूला)

The city of Shiva blossomed on the occasion of Shravan Purnima, carrying the tradition. The residents of Kashi followed the tradition by swinging Kashipuradhipati on a silver swing. Former Mahant handed over the new responsibility of Jhulnotsav, which has been going on for 350 years, to the new generation. When Raj Rajeshwar came out with his family in the streets among the devotees, there was a shout of Har Har Mahadev.On Wednesday, the ritual of Jhulan Utsav started with Mangala Aarti at the Mahant's residence in Tedhineem. In the afternoon, Sanjeev Ratna Mishra did the decoration of the moving silver statue of Baba Vishwanath. From 1:30 pm to 6 pm, common devotees had darshan of the moving silver statue of Baba Vishwanath on Shravan Purnima.

When the Baba Vishwanath came out on a silver palanquin to the street of Kashi, the devotees also flocked to see the Bhagwan. Baba's idol was immersed in the Dham during Shringar Bhog Aarti amidst playing of Damru and Shehnai. Baba's idol was installed inside the sanctum sanctorum with chanting.
