Virat Ramayan Mandir is a proposed Hindu temple in Kesariya, East Champaran district of India with an estimated budget of 500 crore. When completed, it will be the largest religious monument in the world. The construction work of the temple will be started from 20 June 2023. It is believed that the procession or Barat of Bhagwan Shri Ram had stopped here, now the Virat Ramayan temple which will be 270 feet high is going to be built at this place.
Planned Structure for Virat Ramayan Temple
❀ The Virat Ramayan temple will be almost twice the height of the world-famous 12th-century Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia, which stands at 215 feet. The peak of this temple will be higher than that of Angkor Wat temple.
❀ The temple is inspired by the Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia and the Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy Temple and the Madurai Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in India.
❀ The temple will have a hall with a seating capacity of 20,000 people.
❀ Experts from South India will make the peak of the Virat Ramayan temple.
❀ The temple will have 18 shrines with high spires for various Hindu deities, focusing on Bhagwan Ram and Sita.
❀ Virat Ramayan temple will be built on 125 acres of land.
❀ The temple will be built 1080 feet long and 580 feet wide and 270 feet high.
❀ The temple will be constructed in 3 lakh 76 thousand square feet.
Planned Structure for World's largest Shivling
❀ There will be the world's largest Shivling, whose length will be 33 feet high and 33 feet thick, which will be made of a single stone.
❀ Water will be offered to the Shivling that will be established. Arrangements will be made to perform Jalabhishek on the Shivling on the third floor.
❀The Shivalinga is being constructed in Mahabalipuram with black granite stones. The construction of this Shivling will be like Sahastralingam, that is, one thousand eight Shivling will be seated in one Shivling. This type of Shivling was made in the eighth century.
Apart from this, four ashrams will also be built here in the name of four saints. Experts will be called from South India for the construction of Shikhar. The secretary of Mahavir Mandir Nyas claims that this temple will become an example of beautiful architecture. He told that there is a road from three sides of the Virat Ramayan temple complex. The Ram-Janaki Marg being constructed from Ayodhya to Janakpur will pass through the temple. Kesariya Buddhist Stupa is also on this way.
