Celebrating the pran pratistha of the highest peak temple of Aligarh, Shri Varshney Temple’s murti’s prepared according to the instruction of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Pujyapada Shri Madhavashram Ji Maharaj of Badrikashram Peeth, by the chief Acharyas of Sanskrit College, Narwar, auspicious date Chaitra Shukla Shri Ram Navami was started on 12 April 2000 in the early morning with the worship of Shri Ganesh ji and worship of Kalash. On 15 April 2000, the statues of all the decorated gods and goddesses were taken on a city tour to complete the celebration of life.
The magnificent and supernatural statues of Yogiraj Shri Krishna, Shri Lakshmi Narayan, Sri Sitaram-Lakshman-Hanuman and other bhagwan’s have been carved with white marble stone by the internationally renowned artisans of Jaipur. The statue of Shri Akrur Ji Maharaj, sitting on the top of the huge and grand entrance of the temple, has been made to feel supernatural joy.
The temple foundation day (Patotsav), Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Nandotsav, Deepavali, Annakoot, Basant Panchami and Holi are especially celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The traditional festival of Deepavali on the new moon day of Kartik month is a special festival to be celebrated. This holy temple of Aligarh has been included in 100 famous tourist centers declared by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The temple celebrates Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival with religious faith, cheerfulness and tremendous preparations with programs such as Doodhbhishek in the morning, evening Kaal Phool Bungalow and the incarnation of Kanhaiya ji at midnight. On the third day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, all the residents of the city gather in the temple to congratulate Nandababa.
