Varadaraja Perumal Temple also known as Hastagiri or Peruma Koil or Attiyoran is located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India. It is an ancient historical temple completely dedicated to Bhagwan Vishnu. Kanchipuram is mainly of two parts Shiva Kanchi and Vishnu Kanchi, as Kanchi has many famous Shiva temples and Vishnu temples which are situated around Kamakshi temple.

Devotees of Lord Vishnu from all over the world flock to Vishnu Kanchi, especially during the 10-day Vaikasi Brahmotsavam, Purattasi Navaratri and Baikuntha Ekadashi. During Bhramotsavam in Vaigasi (May/June), thousands of people visit the temple and participate in Garuda Vahanam and Thera Thiruvila, chariot processions.
Atthi Varadar Festival: Vasantha Mantapam, where Atthi Varadar is worshipped for 48 days after every 40 years. The Aththi Varadar is worshipped in sleeping posture in the first 24 days, followed by standing position in the next 24 days.
The festival was last held from 1 July to 17 Aug in 2019. The next Atthi Varadar festival will be held in 2059.

Varadaraja Perumal Temple is the largest, famous and most visited Lord Vishnu temple in Kanchipuram. The Varadaraja Perumal Temple along with the Ekambareswarar Temple and the Kamakshi Amman Temple at Kanchipuram is known as Mumurthivasam - the abode of the three. This temple is the center of the Vishnu Kanchi, also known as the Devarajaswamy Temple, which is not just a single temple, but a complete temple complex with several shrines, pillared halls and mandapas, and ponds.
The majestic temple complex, spread across 23 acres of land and 32 shrines which are built in ancient Dravidian style temple architecture. This temple has a unique 40 feet long idol of Bhagwan Vishnu in a reclined posture made of wood. Which is kept in a silver box and is immersed in a sacred water tank – Ananth Saras Temple tank. The idol is taken out every 40 years for worship and darshan. At the entrance of the temple campus, 7 floor tall around 130 feet majestic Raj Gopuram attracts everyone at first sight.
Another key attraction of temple is its popular 100 stone carved pillar wedding hall on left side of Raj Gopuram with 4 pillar raised Mandapa in center and other 96 are matrix of 8 rows and 12 columns. The main shrine is supposed to be located on an elephant-from hill called Hastagiri also. The other attraction is stone chain that was sculpted in one single stone and the carvings of giant gold plated lizard on ceiling behind the main Garbhgruha.
The Varadharaja Perumal Temple was built during the rule of the Chola Kings in 1053.
