Ratangarh Mata Temple is situated in the beautiful Vindhyachal Mountains near the banks of Sindh River. This place is also known as sarp dansh se chamatkarik roop se mukti wali mata ratan gadh mandir in Shri Ratan Garh Dham in the center of India. This mountain is called Maa Durga. Every year lakhs of devotees come to visit Mata Ratangarh Wali and Kunwar Maharaj.
Mythology behind Ratangarh Mata Temple
❀ According to history, this temple was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji after conquering the Mughals. It is believed that Samarth Ramdas, the guru of the Maratha king Shivaji, camped here in 1666 to plan Shivaji`s rescue from Agra Fort.
❀ It is said that Bhagwan Shiva himself destroyed the mountain and his Pasharvati flag is found near the temple complex.
❀ It is said that whenever any poisonous animal bites a person they apply Bandha in the name of Kunwar Maharaj and on the day of Bhai Dooj the second day after Diwali they come to seek Kunwar Maharaj`s blessings and get rid of the poison. The effect wears off.
❀ The temple houses the heaviest temple bell in India, weighing about 1935 kg, made by renowned artistic idol maker Prabhat Rai of Gwalior.
Main festivals of Ratangarh Mata Temple
Every year on the day of Bhai Dooj (the next day of Diwali), lakhs of devotees come here to have darshan of Mata and Kunwar Maharaj. The festival of Navratri is also celebrated in a grand manner.

Ratangarh Mata Mandir is situated 5 km from Rampura village and 55 km from Datia (Madhya Pradesh). Which is very well connected by all roadways and railways.
