You will reach the temple of Bhagwan Shiva, Mukteshwar Dham after climbing 100 steps by coming 1 kilometer by road from Mukteshwar. The whole temple surrounded by offered chunri's and lots of small bells to fulfill the wishes of devotees to devi, it makes the temple atmosphere even more devotional.
The most famous festival of the temple is Shivratri, on the day of Shivratri, a large number of devotees come here to have darshan. At the same time, the number of devotees who visit here on the monthly Shivterash is not reduced.
Bhagwan Shiva is enshrined in the temple in the form of Siddheshwar with white marble. Along with Mata Rani, Bhagwan Shri Ram-Janki-Laxman and Hanuman ji are also seated in the temple. From inside the temple, the most famous tourist place of Mukteshwar, leads the way to Chauli Ka Jaali or Chauthi Ka Jaali. According to the legends, there was a war between the Devi and the demon (Rakshas). There is a mountain top with a round hole on the topmost rock. It is said that if a childless woman comes out of this hole, then she gets a child. But Bhakti-Bharat does not advise you to do it, instead you can ask the head of the temple, Mahant Babaji, another way of child happiness.
According to another Janashruti Pandavas came here and attained Mukti, hence it is known as Mukteshwar Dham.
