Sri Mahalakshmi Temple is actually dedicated to three devi`s Sri Mahakali, Sri Mahalakshmi and Sri Mahasaraswati. The sea can be seen at the back of the temple, and there is a seating arrangement around the temple.

The Mahalakshmi temple complex is characterized by its architectural, archaeological value, surrounded by traditional temples, beautiful domestic architecture named as the scene of the heritage of beautiful historical settlements.

The fame of this temple can be ascertained from this itself, that the entire area around this temple is known by the name Mahalakshmi.

Navratri and Diwali are especially celebrated festivals in Sri Mahalakshmi Temple. During these festivals, the entire area surrounding the temple is decorated with lights, flowers and garlands.

On the day of Annakoot which is held on the day of Kartik Purnima, 56 types of sweets and food items are offered to the mata on this day as naivedya. After that all the Prasad is distributed among the devotees. Every year on the day of Gudi Padwa, Devi`s palki yatra taken out.
