India's tallest Hanuman statue (about 175 feet), Madapam, is located in Narsannapeta. Raman Murthy, a devotee of Narasannapeta dreamed of building the tallest Hanuman statue in India. The construction of the statue started in 2005, it took around 15 years to complete the statue. The estimated cost of the statue is 1 crore. There is also a small temple in the courtyard of the idol where devotees offer prayers.
