The Hindu Temple is a place of worship for Hindus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The grand new Hindu temple, which recently opened in Dubai's Jebel Ali Village, is an architectural marvel that blends Indian and Arabic styles. Instead of calling it a Shiva, Krishna or Durga temple, the Hindu committee has decided to name it Dubai Hindu Temple. Apparently, this is the second Hindu temple built in the UAE at a cost of around 60 million dirhams.
Architecture of Hindu Temple Dubai:
The majestic white temple has marble carvings, tall brass shikharas, ornate pillars and impressive lattice screens. It took about three years to complete the construction of the temple. It is the largest Hindu temple in the Emirate. The temple has 16 prayer halls, each dedicated to a Hindu deity. The architecture of the temple which has a unique Arabic look and feel is absolutely incredible.
The temple is spread over a vast area of 70000 square feet and is built near Guru Nanak Darbar in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai. The temple is an extension of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple in Souk Baniyas, Bur Dubai, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the UAE.
Deities Worshiped in Hindu Temple Dubai
The main deity in the temple is Lord Shiva. There are 16 deities in the temple including Lord Ayyappan and Lord Guruvayoorappan. As a mark of religious inclusiveness, the holy scripture of the Sikhs - the Sri Guru Granth Sahib - has also been enshrined in the temple. The temple also has a teaching hall where Gita classes are held.

Hindu Mandir Dubai is well maintained, has ample parking space and prayer room as well. The mantras in the temple are chanted in both Hindi and Tamil languages.
