Hanuman Dhara is situated in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh. Chitrakoot is one of the most sacred places in Uttar Pradesh. Located about 3 km from Chitrakoot Ramghat, it attracts a large number of devotees. It is believed here that by seeing Bhagwan Hanuman, every wish is fulfilled.

Chitrakoot Hanuman Dhara History and Architecture
This place is called Hanuman Dhara because of a light stream flowing over the idol of Bhagwan Hanuman. The statue of Bajrang Bali is made of red stone marble. Even today, water is seen continuously falling on Hanuman ji's left arm. Looking at the eyes of Hanuman ji sitting there, it seems as if he is smiling at us. Along with this, there is also a small temple of Bhagwan Shri Ram here.

According to the legend, when Hanuman ji had set fire to Lanka, he came to this place to extinguish the fire from his tail. This place is located at a distance of 8 kilometers from Karvi tehsil. Gupta Godavari is about 18 kilometers from Chitrakoot. Two caves are located here. The first cave is wide and high while the second cave is long and narrow. Water always flows in this cave. It is said that Bhagwan Shri Ram held his court here.

According to mythology, Bhagwan Shri Ram, Lakshman and Mata Sita met Tulsidas at Ramghat. Here Shri Ram took bath in the river. Bharat-Milap Temple is situated near Chitrakoot Param Kutir. The footprints of Bhagwan Shri Ram can still be seen here. It was at this place that Shri Ram met his younger brother Bharat. There are 360 ​​steps to reach this temple situated on the hill. On the way, you will find many statues of Bhagwan Ram, Devi Sita and Bhagwan Lakshman. There is also a small structure named Sita Rasoi inside the temple.
