History and Architecture of Sri Guru Ravidas Janmasthal Mandir
In the mid-1960s, Dera Ballan leaders began an effort to build a shrine at the birthplace of Ravidas. A small Mandir was built on the site in 1972. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) founder Kanshi Ram ceremoniously installed the golden dome of the Mandir.

Sant Ravidas Mandir is white in color. Many things in the Mandir are made of gold, including the palanquin of Saint Ravidas. Apart from Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, followers from all over the world have donated money to convert the top of the saint's Mandir into gold. The donation includes a gold palanquin weighing 130 kg, a gold lamp weighing 35 kg, a gold canopy weighing 35 kg and 32 gold urns.

The Mandir remains open throughout the week and devotees can visit the Mandir from 6 am to 9 pm. Langar is open all the time in this Mandir.
