The most famous Shiv temple of Vaishali Sector 5 is the Gulmohar Shivalay. This Shiva temple, located at Gulmohar Lane, is called Gulmohar Shivalay. The peaceful and clean environment of the temple enhances its importance even more.
The head Mahant of the temple, Shri Lavakush Shastri Ji (98185 81904), ensures his participation in all events and religious ceremonies. And with interest, all the devotees also celebrate the glory of the festivals. Various types of sacred trees / plants like vat tree / banyan, banana, kalpvriksha, rudraksh and amla are available to worship in the temple premises.
Bhandara is organized by the temple every Tuesday and Thursday, with the Bhandare being the main festival of Navratri, Hanuman Jayanti (Sava-mani Bhandara) and Shri Krishna Chhathi Mahotsava. Sunderkand is recited in the temple every Tuesday and Saturday.
During both Navratri festival, bhajan-kirtan of Matarani is organized daily, followed by a huge bhandara on the day of Navami. And on the first Sunday of Sharadiya Navratri, Bhakti-Bharat also organizes Bhandara in the temple.
In the Govardhan Puja during the Diwali festival, by offering Annakoot, Bhog is distributed among the devotees in the form of Prasad. All the treasures of the temple and the Bhoga Prasad take special care of hygiene and purity.
