The living proof of the faith of the local residents of Anand Nagar in Gwalior in the Giriraj form of Bhagwan Shri Krishna is Shri Girraj Dham and the divinity spread around it. In the year 1992, the resolution of the construction of the temple by the local residents of Anand Nagar was fulfilled and a beautiful divine temple was established.
Along with Shri Giriraj Ji Maharaj in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, along with Nandi and Gan, Shivling and Mother Bhagwati are established in the temple premises. Auxiliary trees of Vat, Peepal, Banana and Tulsi are present for the convenience and worship of the devotees.
Janmashtami is the most famous and celebrated festival of the temple. Every year on 16th June, a recitation of Akhand Ramayana is organized in the temple premises in the memory of revered Guruji Shri Harinam Harihar ji. Devotees enthusiastically participate in this event along with the chief Mahant of the temple.
The most famous Pahua Wali Mata Temple of Anand Nagar is situated about 700 meters away from Giriraj Dham.
