Bala Hanuman Temple, also known as Sri Balahanuman Sankirtan Temple, is located on the south east side of Ranmal Lake in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This temple dedicated to Bhagwan Hanuman is separated from the lake by a wide road. Local people have deep faith in the temple and believe that it protects them from natural disasters and other troubles.
History and Architecture of Bala Hanuman Temple
The temple was established in 1964 AD by Shri Prembhikshuji Maharaj. The temple has idols of Bhagwan Rama, Lakshmana, Devi Sita and Bhagwan Hanuman. This temple is very popular as it has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records for chanting 'Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram' for 24 hours continuously since 1964. This simple looking temple has idols of Bhagwan Rama, Bhagwan Lakshman, Devi Sita and Bhagwan Hanuman. This temple features intricate architecture that includes ethnic designed pillars and amazing carvings.
Bala Hanuman Temple Darshan Timings
The temple remains open for darshan throughout the week. Darshan Timings: 6 am to 12 noon and 4.30 pm to 10 pm. Aarti happens twice a day but it is Akhand Ram Dhun that attracts devotees from all over the world. The temple remains open all night to accommodate those who wish to view and engage in the lengthy act of religious devotion at night during the more rigorous sessions. Mangala Darshan at 6:00 am; There will be Shangar Darshan at 6:30 am, Mangala Aarti at 7 am, Rajbhog at 12 noon, Utthapan at 4:30 pm, Sandhya Aarti at 7 pm and Shayan Darshan at 10 pm.
