List of Famous Birla Temples
The Birla temples are Hindu temples built by the Birla family, an old prominent industrialist of India. All these temples are magnificently built with white marble or some are in sandstone. The temples are generally located in a prominent location, carefully designed to accommodate many visitors. In 1939 in Delhi first temple was built collectively by Ghanshyamdas Birla and his brothers, as well his father. Later temples have been built by, and are managed by different branches of the family. Till now in all total 14 Birla temples are built.
These temples are dedicated to various Bhagwans like Lakshmi Narayana, Venkateswara, Radha Krishna, Maa Saraswati, Shri Rama, Shiva, Surya and Shri Ganesha. In this temple worship and discourses are well organized. The list of Birla temples in India is as follows:
