He was born on 18 February 1836 in Kamarpukur village, West Bengal. It is said that Ramakrishna's parents had experienced supernatural events even before his birth. Ramakrishna ji was a saint and he got the title of Paramhansa. In fact, Paramhansa is a title given to those who have the power to control their senses.
