✨Kurma Jayanti - कूर्म जयंती

Devotees celebrate the day of Kurma Jayanti with utmost dedication and enthusiasm. On this special day, special ceremonies and pujas are organized at various Bhagwan Vishnu temples or places of worship.
❀ Like other Hindu festivals, taking a holy bath before sunrise on this day is considered auspicious. After the bath, the devotee wears clean puja clothes.
❀ Devotees worship bhagwan Vishnu by offering sandalwood, basil leaves, kumkum, incense sticks, flowers and sweets.
❀ Keeping the fast of Shri Kurma Jayanti is considered very important. Hence, devotees observe Maun Vrat or the rigorous Kurma Jayanti Vrat on this special day.
❀ The fasting devotees keep themselves away from the consumption of pulses or grains and consume only milk products and fruits.
❀ During the observance of Kurma Jayanti Vrat, it is prohibited to commit any kind of sin or bad deeds and it is also prohibited to tell a lie.
❀ Devotees spend their entire time chanting mantras to please Bhagwan Vishnu. Reciting Vishnu Sahasranamam is considered highly auspicious.
❀ Once all the rituals are over, the devotees perform the aarti.
❀ Making donations on the eve of Kurma Jayanti is considered highly beneficial. The devotee should donate food, clothes and money to the Brahmins.
