The mixed combination of Shri Khatu Shyam Utsav, Nishan Yatra and Khatu Nagri Fair, which starts from the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of Phagun month and continues till Phagun Shukla Dwadashi, is called Falgun Mela, Phagun Fair and Phag Mela. Although this festival is celebrated among the lovers of Baba Shri Khatu Shyam ji all over India, but the main center of this fair is Shri Khatu Shyam temple located in Sikar, Rajasthan.
Falgun Fair is considered as one of the most prominent and famous festivals of Rajasthan, Phagun Mela is the most popular and biggest festival among the lovers of Shyam Baba.
Although Falgun Mela of Khatu Shyam ji is a festival lasting for 7 days, but it starts in the form of Shobha Yatra and Nishan Yatra of Baba Shyam even before Phagun Shukla Shashthi. The most enthusiasm and passion of Falgun Mela is seen on Ekadashi (Aamlaki Ekadashi), on this day Shyam lovers get drenched in the festival.
