👑Devnarayan Jayanti - देवनारायण जयंती

Bhagwan Shri Devnarayan, the incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu, is the incarnation of Kalyug, he always used his powers for the welfare of the people and always helped them. He used to propagate the message of good thoughts, ideal governance, equality, non-violence, peace.

Devnarayan is recognized as Bhagwan in Gurjar society. According to the local people, when Devnarayan attained enlightenment, he also showed many miracles during his lifetime. Meanwhile, when Peepalde, the daughter of Raja Jaisingh of Dhar, had become very ill, Devnarayan cured her with his powers. After which Raja Jaisingh got her married with his consent. Devnarayan is believed to have drawn water from a dry river. It is said that after worshiping Bhgawan Vishnu, Devnarayan gained knowledge and powers, which he used for public welfare. This is the reason that from that time till today he is worshiped as a God especially by the Gujjar community and is considered as a Lok Devta.

It is said that like Bhgawan Krishna, Devnarayan was also the protector of cows. Devnarayan ji used to get up early in the morning every day and visit gau mata, only after that he used to do any further work. According to folk tales, Devnarayan had asked his followers to always protect the cows.
