Significance of Chitragupta Puja
Bhagwan Chitragupta does the work of keeping accounts. Therefore, their main work is seen by connecting with the pen, that is why on the day of Bhai Dooj, the pen is also worshiped as the image of Chitragupta. According to religious belief, worshiping Chitragupta ji brings blessings of intellect, speech and writing.
This day is of special importance for business people, on this day work is started by writing 'Shri' on new books. Apart from this, the details of all the income and expenditure are kept in front of Chitragupta ji. On this day people celebrate as Chitragupta Jayanti and worship lekhani-dawat (writing-Ink). Along with this, people also keep the works related to writing closed on this day. Chitragupta worship is also known as Dawat Pujan.

❀ Offer him Roli, Akshat, flowers, sweets, fruits etc.
❀ Keep the details of all your past work in front of Chitragupta ji.
❀ On a white paper, write Shri Ganeshaya Namah and Om Chitraguptay Namah 11 times.
❀ Now pray to Bhagwan Chitragupta for education, intelligence and progress in life.
❀ Worship new books in auspicious time in Chitragupta Puja.
