This Hindu festival which comes on Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh is known as Akshaya Tritiya or Akh Teej. Meaning of the word Akshay which is never less. Vedic astrology considers Akshaya Tritiya to be an auspicious day free from all bad influences, hence the need of any Muhurta is not considered starting any auspicious work on this day.
According to the mythological texts, whatever auspicious work is done on this day, their fruit gets renewed, that is, their virtues are never reduced. Therefore, the benefits of chanting, yagna, paternity, charity and charity performed on this day are never reduced and remain with the person forever.
Although the Shukla Paksha Tritiya of all twelve months is auspicious, but the Akshaya Tritiya Tithi of Vaishakh month is considered in the Swayamsiddh Muhurto.
