According to the Hindu calendar, Chaitra Navratri is starting from 30th March 2025, which will end on 7th April 2025. According to the Panchang, this year, on the first day of Chaitra Navratri, there is a very auspicious coincidence, in which Maa Durga will visit the homes of her devotees. Every year Chaitra Navratri starts from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. In these 9 days of Navratri, initially 9 major forms of Maa Durga are worshiped.

Ghatasthapana is also known as Kalashasthapana. It is believed that by doing Ghatasthapana in an auspicious time, all the obstacles go away and happiness and prosperity comes in the house.

हर साल चैत्र मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा तिथि से चैत्र नवरात्रि की शुरुआत होती है। नवरात्रि के इन 9 दिनों में मां दुर्गा के 9 प्रमुख रूपों की पूजा की जाती है।

❀ Clean the place of Ghatasthapana in the Puja house thoroughly and do Ghatasthapana in the east or north direction.
❀ After this, purify that place with Ganges water.
❀ Then spread some clean soil there and then put barley seeds on it. Then cover the barley seeds well by adding soil again. After this, sprinkle some water.
❀ Fill the Kalash with water and Gangajal and also put a coin in it. During this, meditate on Varun Dev.
❀ After this, tie Kalava on the Kalash. Put a bowl of clay on the mouth of the Kalash and cover the bowl with barley.
❀ Then take a coconut and wrap it with a red chunni and place a branch of mango leaves and place the coconut on top of the urn.
Kalash is considered as the form of Ganapati. That's why Kalash is worshiped before worshiping Mata Rani.
