Recipe:
First, wash the rice gently and soak it for half an hour in a container. In the meantime, put the milk and heat it up on a medium flame in a utensil. Keep stirring the milk with the help of a spoon so that it does not start sticking in the bottom of the vessel.
When the milk gets boiled completely, slow down the flame and add the soaked rice in the milk. After a couple of minutes, keep stirring the rice with a spoon.
After 15-20 minutes when the rice becomes soft, add chopped nuts (cashew, almond, raisins, chironji, coconut, etc.) and mix it will. Now allow it to cook for about 10-15 minutes. After cooking for 10-15 minutes, when the kheer becomes thick, add sugar to it and continuously stir it for 2-3 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
Switch off the flame and put a cardamom powder in kheer and mix it well. Now take out the kheer in some other utensil and add the chopped pistachios and saffron (Kesar) in it. Thus, the traditional Chawal Ki Kheer is cooked for indulgence.
