Swami Shiv Dayal Singh Ji Maharaj was an influential spiritual leader and proponent of the Sant Mat tradition of Radha Swami Satsang in North India during the 19th century. He is considered the founder of the Radha Swami faith, which emphasizes Surat Shabda Yoga, or the yoga of uniting the human soul with the divine sound flow.

Swami Shiv Dayal Singh Ji taught the path of inner spiritual development through meditation on inner light and sound and he included many followers in this practice. Followers of Radha Soami Satsang revere him as a great mystic and teacher who helped spread this spiritual tradition. He began giving spiritual discourses based on the scriptures of Sikhism and the writings of Tulsi Sahib of Hathras.

His disciples also fondly called him Swamiji of Agra. He was teaching the same truth that all perfect gurus taught, how to connect with yourself, your true home, through love, devotion and meditation.
