Hanuman Temple Dandarua DhamSaint Ramdas Ji Maharaj was born into a devout Chachore Sanaadhya Brahmin family in the village of Madroli, situated in Bhind district. From an early age, he exhibited a deep inclination towards simplicity, devotion, and a profound love for God.
Under the spiritual guidance of Shri Shri 108 Shri Purushottamdas Ji Maharaj, his revered Guru, young Ramdas Ji's detachment from worldly attachments began, and his devotion to divine service deepened. During this sacred transformation, he received a divine vision—Shri Hanuman Ji revealed the spiritual potential of a child named Ramnaresh through subtle divine signs in a dream.
Mahant of Dandaura Dham
On 12th August 1985, in the presence of the villagers and saints, Shri Purushottamdas Ji Maharaj entrusted the spiritual and administrative responsibility of the Dandaura Ashram to Saint Ramdas Ji, officially appointing him as Mahant Baba. Taking a solemn vow of brahmacharya (celibacy) and service, he dedicated his life to the upliftment of the ashram and the spiritual growth of devotees.
Revival and Expansion of the Dham
With divine inspiration and tireless efforts, Saint Ramdas Ji undertook several transformative initiatives:
❀ Founded 'Shri Purushottamdas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya' (1985) within the premises of Shri Hanuman Mandir Dandaura Dham to promote Sanskrit and Vedic learning.
❀ Reconstructed the ancient 500-year-old Shri Ram-Janaki Temple and built a new Shri Hanuman Temple.
❀ Constructed multiple rooms and facilities for Sanskrit students, establishing a nurturing learning environment.
❀ Acquired 50 acres of land to further expand the spiritual campus, including:
❀ A hostel for students
❀ A gaushala (cow shelter)
❀ Yagya shala, storehouse, satsang hall, garden, and pond
These sacred developments continue to evolve, serving thousands of devotees and students.
