In the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, the doors of the temple were opened at 4 am during the Bhasma Aarti early on Friday on Ashadh Krishna Paksha Amavasya Tithi. After worshiping all the idols of Gods installed in the sanctum sanctorum, Jalabhishek of Lord Mahakal was performed. After this, Hari Om water was offered by ringing the first bell.
After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was made to wear a new crown. The special thing about today's adornment was that on the occasion of Ashadh Krishna Paksha Amavasya, the shape of a snake was created on the Shivalinga of Baba Mahakal in Bhasma Aarti. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. Due to this, the entire temple complex resonated with the echo of Jai Shri Mahakal.
