Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, where there are 12 Jyotirlingas of Mahadev, is soon going to unveil a 108 feet tall statue of
Adi Shankaracharya.
“The Statue of Oneness”, a 108 feet high statue of the great 8th century philosopher Adi Shankaracharya, is being installed at this place, till now known as Mahadev. This statue is being installed on the banks of river Narmada on Mandhata mountain in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
This 108 feet high place of Adi Shankaracharya is about 80 km away from Indore.
It is being said that in this idol, Adi Shankaracharya is shown as a 12 year old boy.
Engineers and many renowned artists from across the country have worked hard to make this statue made of Ashtadhatu. When this statue will be unveiled on September 21, yagya and other religious programs will also be organized for the consecration of the statue, in which a large number of saints and sages are going to participate.
