Preparations have been made to celebrate Ravidas Jayanti in a bhabya style in the temple of Saint Ravidas in Kashi. The resolution to make the temple of Saint Ravidas golden is now moving towards completion.
The aura of gold is visible from the door frame to the peak of the temple of Saint Ravidas, known as the second golden temple of Banaras.The frame, doors, golden spire of Ravidas temple as well as the palanquin and lamp of the saint are also made of gold. The lamp burning in front of his statue in Ravidas temple is made of gold. A continuous lamp burns in it and the price of this lamp is in crores. Devotees built a grand temple at the birthplace of the Guru with their donations and are also getting it decorated with gold. The entrance to the sanctum of the temple was made gold plated only last year. The door frame and door have been plated with gold.
