On Akshaya Tritiya, Thakurji will give all round darshan to the devotees by applying sandalwood in all the temples including Thakur Banke Bihari and sandalwood laddu will be offered at the feet of Thakurji. This service is performed by Sevayats every year on Akshaya Tritiya to provide coolness to Thakurji during summer days.
This year Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on 10th May in the temple premises.Along with the preparations for Akshaya Tritiya, the Sevayats have started the process of grinding sandalwood in Radhadamodar temple.
According to the Sevayats, the process of rubbing sandalwood in the temple is done by the Sevayats for 45 days. This sandalwood is used in the holistic philosophy of Thakurji.
