ASI has clarified that before the mosque there was a big Hindu temple here. Many information has been given in the 839 page survey report, one of which is the GPR survey revealing the secret of the antiquity of the Hindu temple. A large floor has been discovered six meters below the temple, but what material is it made of? It is not yet known in which dynasty and the exact year in which it was built.
History of the Temple under the Basement in Gyanvapi
The further we delve into the issue of Gyanvapi, the more mysterious things will emerge about Jyotirlinga Adivishveshwar. Pro. Ashoka says that the history of the temple under the basement in Gyanvapi can be known through excavation. Ground penetrating radar survey in ASI survey is also indicating the same. There is a large floor below the basement of the temple. A similar shape was seen three meters below it. There are also two old floors of the temple below Gyanvapi. There is also a basement and a well, but no one has been able to reach here till date. According to GPR survey, the history of the temple dates back to the Gupta period. Surveyed the northern hall, there is a large hole in the floor below. There is a lot of mortar on the floor, i.e. something solid, and below it there is a rectangular space, a part of it is open. The door opens towards the south.
Archaeological Evidence
This is like going down 4-6 meters in the southern corridor of the temple. A similar shape towards the northern corridor is three meters below the basement. Wherever archaeological evidence is found, the entire century changes with every meter of depth. We go back in time.
