As the Ganesh Chaturthi festival is approaching, a Ganesh pandal based on the Ram temple in Ayodhya is being constructed by Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust in Pune, Maharashtra. Organizers said they have been working on the pandal for the last two months and it will be ready in a day or two.
An official of the organizing committee said that the idol of Lord Ganesha will be installed in the pandal by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat.
Organizers said they chose the Ram temple theme to show people what the temple will look like when it opens in Ayodhya in January 2024.
There will be fifteen to twenty idols of Lord Hanuman holding stones in his hand, said an official of the organizing committee.
Every year around two crore people visit his pandal, but this year he expects around five crore visitors. "We have invited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and he has assured him that he will definitely come," the organizing committee official said.
This year the Ganesh Chaturthi festival will start from September 19 and will continue for ten days till September 29.* Please share any of your suggestions or ideas with us.
